DC-3 Reproduction

Reproduction DC-3 Bare Board

This is a vintage SWTPC DC-3 board.

The reproduction was created from the SWTPC RED/Blue line drawing and a scan of the top and bottom layer.

The DC-3 controller is similar to the DC-2.  Support for double sided drives was added.  Support for double density drives was added when the DC-4 was released.

The main reason for buying a 1771 based controller is for support of very old operating systems such as FDOS.  Some of the older operating systems were not entirely compatible with the newer series of WD floppy controller chips.

The board has been tested in a SWTPC 6800 and 6809 system and will boot FLEX2 and FLEX 9.
