This board is an updated FD-2 replacement.  This board replaces some of the hard to find parts with parts that are easier to find.  The circuitry that allowed use of a 1771 controller chip was dropped.  This circuitry was not really documented in the user manual and it is doubtful if anyone used it anyway. The board is a little smaller and was produced using a ground pour  to help with noise reduction. Otherwise this board works the same as the original FD-2 controller.
